About Spont
Spont ("we", "us", or "our") is a spontaneous social meetup coordination app. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our service at spont.social.
Information We Collect
- Name and email address (provided at sign-up)
- Phone numbers of guests you invite via SMS (provided by you)
- Meetup details you create (name, location, time, invitees)
- RSVP responses from you and your invitees
SMS Messaging & Opt-In
When you create a Spont and add a guest's phone number, that guest will receive a one-time SMS invitation. By entering a phone number, you confirm that the recipient has consented to receive a text message from Spont on your behalf.
SMS recipients can reply STOP at any time to opt out of future messages, or HELP for assistance. Message and data rates may apply.
We do not sell or share phone numbers with third parties. Phone numbers are used solely to send the event invitation on your behalf.
How We Use Your Information
- To operate and improve the Spont service
- To send SMS event invitations on behalf of organizers
- To match your account with existing friends on the platform
- To provide usage statistics and past meetup history
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with service providers (such as Twilio for SMS delivery and Clerk for authentication) solely to operate the app. These providers are bound by their own privacy policies.
Data Retention
We retain your account data as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.
